Statement
This work comes out of an anger at and general dissatisfaction with society and civilization in general. It is also a little bit building a fort in your back yard kinda thing. It is intended to reflect the absurdity and the futility of daily life as well. The escape hatch can be an escape hatch, an outpost and shelter or a place to strike from. I’m hoping that participating in yurt city and placing my hatch among this work will be like peeking out of the hatch and seeing something hopeful.
